The City through its public trust (Blanchard Municipal Improvement Authority) purchased eighty (80) acres of land along OK-76 in 2013. Forty (40) acres have been platted into lots and blocks for the future development of Section 1 of the Crystal Lake Industrial Park.
Future lot sizes will average 5 acres mol. The City's infrastructure of an 8-inch water line and a sewer system with a packaged lift station has been constructed to serve Phase 1. An industrial access road known as Crystal Lake Drive has been constructed to serve this new development.
Funding for these improvements came from a $1,000,000.00 CDBG grant through the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
