Code Code
About
The City of Blanchard's Code Department works to preserve the health, safety, and appearance of our community. By encouraging compliance with City ordinances, Code helps maintain property values, reduce neighborhood deterioration, deter crime, and create a cleaner, safer place to live, work, and play.
Code is responsible for enforcing non-traffic City ordinances related to the maintenance, sanitation, conservation, rehabilitation, and safety of residential and commercial properties.
Common code enforcement concerns include:
- Dilapidated structures
- Graffiti
- High weeds and grass
- Junked, derelict, or inoperable vehicles
When a potential code violation is reported or observed, a Code Enforcement Officer conducts an inspection to determine whether a violation of City ordinances or applicable fire, health, or building regulations exists. If a violation is confirmed, the property owner is notified and provided with information on the steps and timeline required to bring the property into compliance.
The Code Division is committed to working with residents and property owners to maintain a safe, attractive, and well-maintained community for everyone.
