The Planning Commission serves as an advisory body to the City Council on matters related to planning, zoning, and land development within the City of Blanchard.
The Commission reviews and makes recommendations on zoning district changes, zoning regulations, lot splits, and preliminary, final, and revised plats. It also conducts public hearings for zoning applications and proposed amendments to zoning districts and regulations before making recommendations to the City Council.
The Commission carries out planning and zoning responsibilities as established by City ordinance and Oklahoma law. The City Planner serves as an advisor to the Commission.
